Understanding the benefits that Information Technology has

on enquiring young minds we're investing in your nursery to

have a dedicated IT Room full of the latest equipment and

software from Apple Inc.

An additional IT curriculum has been created, incorporating

the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, to ensure your

child gets the maximum benefit.

Children will be able to:

• Show an awareness of the boundaries when using the learning centre
• Access the equipment independently
• Shut down the equipment independently
• Use the mouse with control
• Show an understanding of the keyboard
• Print off their own work
• Learn appropriate names for actions and apparatus
• Insert a disc and access the program independently
• Shut down the program independently
• Show understanding of how their work can be saved and accessedon the computer
• Show an awareness of the boundaries when using the Internet at nursery
• With adult support, access the Internet to find images and information given of their own choice
• Decide between a choice of software
• Independently explore and complete a program
